    1. This is what I have been searching in many websites and I finally found it here. Amazing article. I am so impressed. Could never think of such a thing is possible with it...I think you have a great knowledge especially while dealings with such subjects. Cloud PBX Services Singapore

    2. Factory resetting doesn't work, only goes to "Phone is Registering" after sequence has been put in CORRECTLY.

    3. This procedure does nothing. The phone just boots up normally.

    4. This procedure does work. The red light on the Mute button is only on for less than a second after power up (barely noticeable). The Headset and Speak buttons (green) will be on. At this point press the sequence 123456789*0#. If the sequence is keyed in correctly and within the time limit (I just keyed it straight in without pausing but not insanely) then the red Mute button will light showing the factory reset is in progress. I used this to reset a forgotten phone set password. All is good.

    5. I need to be able to keep the headset button on all day. Is that possible?

    7. Step 1
Remove power from the phone in one of these ways:

      Unplug the power adapter.
      Unplug the LAN cable.

      Step 2
      Wait 5 seconds.

      Step 3
Press and hold # and plug the phone back in.

      Step 4
When the Headset and Speaker buttons are lit, release # and enter the following key sequence:

      123456789*0#

The light for the Headset button turns off after you press the 1 key. After you enter the key sequence, the Mute button lights.

    8. Thanks SN. Apparently the part I have missing all along is the timing of when to release #. This has never worked for me until now.
In the past, when resetting 79xx phones, you just held # until the red lights blinked. With these 884x/886x, you only hold # until the very moment the mute button stops being red.

    9. The key missing in the instructions is that you have to hold down mute until after the mute light flashes AND you ALSO have to wait for the headset & speakerphone lights to turn green. Once those turn green, THEN you can release Mute and dial the sequence.
